• The New Content Exploration product team is leading the strategy to shape how Netflix members discover and engage with new content types. This includes 0 to 1 areas such as Live events, Podcasts, Creator content, Games discovery and more. Our team is responsible for building the end-to-end member experience for Live and delivering innovative Sports features to market. Our work spans all platforms (TV/living room, mobile, tablet, and web), and includes features and experiences across discovery/browse, player, profiles, and new surfaces.
• In the past two years, Netflix has been home to record-breaking NFL Games, Boxing Events, and the World Baseball Classic Tournament. Netflix is accelerating its ambitions to capture real-time, unscripted magic of Live events looking ahead to the Women's World Cup and beyond. As the ambitions for Live and Sports are growing bigger and bolder in the years to come, a truly innovative product experience plays a critical role in bringing the magic to our members.
• As Product Manager for the Sports Experience, you will own the end-to-end execution of new features for our Sports content slate. You will work in close partnership with the Product Lead for Live and Sports to align on the overall roadmap and priorities. You will directly own portfolio features across the roadmap spanning the Discovery and Playback experience. As we look to onboard new content experiences, you will be at the forefront of scaling our Sports features to those partners. You’ll interface closely with a broad cross-functional team including Design, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Content and Product.
• You must be comfortable at the hub of a fast-paced environment where you interface daily with cross-functional experts across both the tech and entertainment sides of the business, with proven success in balancing requirements/tradeoffs effectively. You must be passionate about building alignment, while not being afraid to push ahead when there remain some critics, influencing and keeping momentum in the face of ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Launch new features by owning workstreams end-to-end, from framing the problem through launch, measurement, and the next iteration. You drive your areas independently with strong responsibility.
• Influence a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, consumer insights, merchandising and data science to deliver outstanding products
• Proactively identify new investments by leveraging consumer insights, market trends, and platform data to uncover new product opportunities for Sports, actively shaping the broader strategic roadmap for our rapidly expanding live ecosystem.
• Working through open-ended problems and identifying opportunities for evolution of existing or conceptualizing new discovery, capability or feature requirements
• Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation, with your data science partners
• Run A/B tests and set the success metrics before launch, run the tests with your data science partners, and interpret the results.

Requirements

• As Product Manager, Sports Experience, you’ll be passionate about the work, bringing:
• 6+ years of experience developing consumer products and features and comfortable operating with complex tradeoffs
• Experience working on Live Sports streaming products at scale, and a great understanding of the Sports lifecycle
• Very high attention to detail, with an ability to connect the smallest experience elements to the big picture goals at the company and team level
• Excellent bias to action, shipping and iterating on 0 to 1 projects quickly.
• Ability to function as the E2E owner of the product development life cycle from inception through planning to launch
• Working effectively across cross functional teams to drive alignment
• Experience with A/B testing, and strong business acumen with proficiency in identifying, tracking and acting upon metrics, designing tests, and collaborating with data science partners
• Excellent data-informed judgment, and ability to leverage data in service of telling the right story, not the other way around
• Great balance of being collaborative and open to alternative views while being decisive and clearly communicating vision
• An eagerness to seek feedback and improve

• Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000.00 - $545,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
