- Primarily responsible for managing the financial accounting function, concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resultant financial statements.
Responsibilities
- 1. Assists in budget preparation.
- 2. Assists with audit and year end closing.
- 3. Prepares and files sales and use tax returns.
- 4. Prepares and records monthly closing journal entries.
- 5. Prepares monthly group financial statements.
- 6. Prepares operational reconciliation statement.
- 7. Prepares weekly and monthly labor and equipment reports for operations.
- 8. Processes transactions for fixed assets (journal entries and book/tax depreciations).
- 9. Reconciles asset and liability ledger accounts.
Requirements
- 1. 2+ years construction accounting experience; knowledge of profit recognition for contractors.
- 2. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- 3. Strong analytical skills with respect to financial data.
- 4. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 5. CPA designation, or CPA eligible preferred. CCIFP designation is a plus.
- 6. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
