• The Project Analyst supports the successful execution of large-scale undersea telecommunication projects by providing project analysis, reporting, coordination, and project controls support.
• Working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, this role helps monitor project performance against scope, schedule, budget, risks, deliverables, and customer commitments.
• The Project Analyst compiles and analyzes project and portfolio data, prepares clear status updates and dashboards, tracks open actions and changes, and supports timely communication of key issues, risks, and decisions.
• This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively across engineering, procurement, production, marine, finance, quality, sales, and other project support functions.
• The role contributes to project execution by improving visibility, supporting problem resolution, and helping project teams make informed decisions that reduce risk and support customer and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in monitoring project financial performance, including budget status, forecast updates, cost and revenue trends, and margin improvement initiatives.
• Compile, analyze, and maintain project data to support decision-making, including schedule performance, deliverable status, milestone tracking, risks, issues, and action items.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of project plans, reports, dashboards, and status updates for project teams, leadership, and customers as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional team members in engineering, procurement, production, marine, finance, quality, sales, and other support functions to collect inputs, resolve data gaps, and drive timely follow-up.
• Maintain awareness of contract requirements, scope, schedule, budget, customer commitments, and project change activity; support Project Managers with documentation, project notices, and change tracking.
• Identify, document, and track project risks, issues, assumptions, and mitigation actions; analyze potential impacts and recommend actions to reduce execution risk and support timely resolution.
• Review project performance against objectives and help explain variances related to cost, schedule, scope, deliverables, and key project commitments.
• Prepare clear and accurate summaries of key project status, decisions, risks, and escalations to support communication with Project Managers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
• Independently coordinate assigned project activities, action items, and routine deliverables within established project plans and direction.
• Support customer communications and meetings through preparation of project status information, action tracking, follow-up, and other assigned project activities.
• Coordinate and maintain project commercial documentation and notice tracking, including document queues, status, required inputs, due dates, and follow-up, in support of Project Managers and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate assigned project logistics and execution support activities, working across internal functions and external stakeholders as required to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate the tracking and delivery of required project documentation deliverables in accordance with contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; business, finance, engineering, project management, data analytics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, validate, interpret, and summarize project data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with project reporting, dashboards, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools; advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
• Understanding of project controls, including schedule tracking, milestone management, cost monitoring, forecasting support, and variance analysis.
• Ability to effectively manage risk, issue, action item, and change tracking processes and communicate potential impacts clearly to project stakeholders.
• Experience supporting large cross-functional projects, preferably in undersea, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or complex engineered systems environments.
• Familiarity with contract language, scope requirements, project notices, customer commitments, and commercial change documentation preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow through on deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, resolve data gaps, escalate concerns, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate detailed project information into clear summaries for Project Managers, leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• International and domestic travel to support customer meetings, project reviews, or team coordination as needed.
