Senior Credit Analyst at Bridgewater Bank in St Louis Park, MN

Job description

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) team in the Credit Department. The Senior Credit Analyst will provide support to the bankers by evaluating the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for lending credit with the bank. This role may be based in any of the following office locations: St. Louis Park, Bloomington, Greenwood, Glen Lake, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Orono, and Lake Elmo.

Responsibilities

• Credit Analysis & Underwriting
• Collect, review, and analyze loan requests, financial information, third-party reports, and other due diligence as required for larger and more complex transactions.
• Prepare credit presentations to be used in the credit approval process including but not limited to: spreading and analyzing business financial statements, industry trends, collateral (ABA) and guarantor analysis.
• Collaborate with bankers in identifying credit risks, mitigants, and loan structure considerations for such risks.
• Participate in the approval process, including collaborating with credit officers and presenting loan requests to Loan Committee and Credit Risk Management Committee.
• Perform covenant testing and annual reviews for larger, existing lending relationships, as well as process Borrowing Base Certificates as required.
• Assist credit officers and managers with projects to monitor and improve the risk management and underwriting processes of the Credit Department.
• Administrative Support
• Develop and maintain accurate records for lending clients and accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of all supporting software, compliance, and procedures as they relate to the credit department.
• Adhere to the bank’s policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations including (but not limited to) BSA.
• Relationship Management
• Serve as a leader in the credit analyst group and mentor for other Credit Analysts.
• Assist bankers in maintaining positive relationships with new and existing clients by providing responsive support and simple solutions.
• Attend and be an active participant in client meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field.
• 10+ years of credit underwriting or financial analysis experience, including the evaluation and structuring of complex C&I credit relationships. Experience may be gained through commercial banking, private credit, asset-based lending, corporate banking, specialty finance, or other institutional lending environments.
• Superior analytical/reasoning skills.
• Experience with the nCino commercial banking platform is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• The typical annual/hourly base pay range for this role is between $85,000-$125,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
