Job description
- The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing all fleet operations, including the management of company vehicles, equipment, and driver activities to ensure efficient and compliant transportation of assigned loads. This role coordinates driver scheduling, route optimization, and truck logistics to maximize daily load capacity.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire fleet operations, including the management of vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, reducing downtime, and ensuring maximum loads per day.
- Manage a team of for-hire drivers responsible for over-the-road routes, ensuring they are kept up to date with licensing, credentials and compliance.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve fleet operations and efficiency.
- Manage all truck logistics, tracking, accurate bills of lading and invoicing
- Oversee the maintenance of driver ELD devices to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure that all vehicles are well-maintained and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
- Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in logistics and transportation management.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to improve fleet efficiency and profitability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
