Responsibilities
- Independently underwrite risks and structure complex programs received from Key Broker Partners
- Maintain and develop Key Distribution Partnerships.
- Manage AIG’s underwriting processes and procedures in compliance to the Marine Underwriting Guidelines and Risk Appetite.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on technical underwriting knowledge.
- Assist PCM with regular budgeting process and constant portfolio management and undertake projects and or other duties which may be assigned.
Requirements
- A motivated team player with a regional outlook.
- Proven experience in Marine Cargo underwriting.
- Knowledge of Marine Liability products would be advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a good eye for details
- Ability to work across multiple functions and departments.
- Good relationship management skills, and service-oriented focus
- Able to understand and execute on the vision and objectives of the department and company.
- Competent in all Windows based Office programs
- An individual who is curious and keen to upskill within a dynamic and growing department.
