- This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.
Responsibilities
- Develop operating plans for the assigned regional operation
- Serve as point of contact for drivers regarding issues/questions pertaining to organizational policies, payroll, benefits, etc.
- Set up schedules for drivers
- Recruit drivers/owner operators
- Engage with customers to drive growth and enhance relationships
- Resolve customer issues
- Ensure that the safety values of the organization are followed
- Assist, support and direct managers
- Manage, coach, discipline, and evaluate staff
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience
- 4-5 years background in transportation
- Good people skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
