• GFT is seeking an HR Immigration & Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team and play an important role in supporting our growing organization and workforce. This position follows a fully remote work format.
• This position combines employment-based immigration administration with broader HR compliance responsibilities, providing an opportunity to work across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, business leadership, external counsel, and employees throughout the organization.
• The HR Immigration & Compliance Specialist will help employees navigate complex immigration processes while supporting GFT's commitment to accurate, consistent, and compliant HR practices. The ideal candidate brings hands-on employment-based immigration experience, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance for employees and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment-based immigration processes while delivering a responsive and supportive employee experience
• Navigate evolving immigration and employment requirements while helping GFT maintain strong compliance practices
• Coordinate effectively among employees, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, external immigration counsel, vendors, and business leaders
• Support enterprise HR compliance reporting and audit readiness across a growing organization
• Balance multiple time-sensitive immigration cases, regulatory filings, and compliance priorities with accuracy and discretion
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, documentation, and controls that support an efficient and scalable HR function
• Coordinate employment-based immigration cases and processes, including H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, H-1B lottery submissions, and related matters
• Prepare, review, track, and maintain immigration documentation, petitions, labor condition applications, prevailing wage requests, PERM documentation, and supporting records
• Serve as a key point of contact for employees and internal stakeholders regarding immigration documentation, case status, timelines, and procedural requirements
• Partner with external immigration counsel and internal stakeholders to facilitate case strategy, documentation, filings, and escalation of complex immigration matters
• Maintain immigration procedures, workflows, templates, checklists, public access files, required notices, and other documentation to support regulatory compliance and audit readiness
• Support HR compliance requirements and reporting, including EEO-1, VETS-4212, affirmative action planning, I-9 and employment eligibility requirements, and other applicable filings
• Monitor federal, state, local, and employment-based immigration requirements and help ensure GFT policies and processes remain aligned with applicable regulations
• Review contracts and proposals for HR compliance requirements, regulatory considerations, and alignment with established GFT processes
• Collect and maintain HR data required for project, client, and regulatory compliance reporting
• Coordinate and monitor background screening requirements associated with client programs
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee and compliance records while exercising appropriate discretion when handling sensitive information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience supporting HR compliance and employment-based immigration. With at least 2 years leading immigration processing
• Hands-on knowledge of employment-based immigration processes and documentation
• Experience supporting H-1B and other employment-based visa processes.
• Knowledge of HR compliance requirements including EEO, VETS, affirmative action planning, I-9, employment eligibility, and applicable employment regulations
• Experience partnering with external immigration counsel, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, employees, and other business stakeholders
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical guidance
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive cases and compliance activities simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
• Proficiency with HRIS, compliance, case management, and reporting tools
• Ability to work independently while recognizing when complex matters require escalation
• Experience with PERM and permanent residency processes

• The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $87,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
