- The Medical Assistant at the Cook Family Health Center provides high-quality patient care by supporting providers and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Must be available evenings until 6pm and rotating Saturday's until 12:30p
- Patient Intake & Assisting Provider
- Setting up equipment and assisting during exams and procedures
- Collecting lab specimens
- Phlebotomy
- Patient Education & Communication
- Administer medication/Injections
- Schedule outside appointments
- Order stock
- Manage disposal of biohazards
- Electrocardiogram
- Sterile technique
- Clean and stock exam rooms/lab
- Electronic Health Records data entry
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required
- 1-2 years required technician experience in medical office environment; primary care preferred
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience
- Previous multi-line phone & customer service experience

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred
- Current CMA or LPN
