• Switchboard is seeking an HR Generalist on behalf of our client, Open Technology Solutions (OTS). This is a 6-month, full-time W-2 contract for a hands-on HR pro who likes variety and wants to get things done. OTS has a lean HR team, and you'll own the work that isn't payroll or benefits: project work, annual performance reviews, manager coaching, comp benchmarking, and job description updates. If you're an independent HR consultant or a seasoned generalist who would welcome a solid 6-month engagement, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Partner on the development and implementation of training and development initiatives.
• Assist with annual activities including open enrollment, annual performance reviews, and the merit process.
• Support tasks related to performance management, employee development, new hires, terminations, employee claims, and employee relations counseling under guidance of HR management.
• Coach managers through basic performance conversations and minor employee relations issues.
• Partner on policy updates and help keep practices aligned with current employment law.
• Help plan employee engagement activities that reinforce a positive workplace culture.
• Take on special projects as they come. Flexibility and a willingness to jump in are key.

Requirements

• Experience
• 4+ years of progressive HR generalist experience
• Proven ability to handle performance management, employee relations, and manager coaching independently
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Other Skills
• Highly organized and project-driven. You finish what you start and like crossing things off
• Comfortable wearing many hats on a small team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed, with sound judgment on when to escalate

Benefits

• $40 – $50 per hour • W-2 Contract Position (6 months)
• Compensation: $40–$50/hour
• Term: 6-month, full-time W-2 contract paid through OTS payroll. This role is not benefits or PTO eligible and will not convert to full-time
• Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility on how the hours get done
• Location: Englewood, CO. Hybrid preferred (2-3 days in office). Remote will be considered for the right candidate (still local to Denver)
