- We know, there are a lot of companies out there hoping to get your attention – but if you are a warm and caring CMA with infectious positive energy – PLEASE STOP SCROLLING! Digestive Health Specialist of Tupelo is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant just like you!
- DHS is focused on patient care, all day/everyday by providing an exceptionally high level of care for our patients. If that sounds like something you can get behind, then maybe you were looking for us too?
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
- Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
- Assist in maintaining general medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
- Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent
- Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
- Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
- Maturity, empathy, and patience.
- Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
