Marketing Coordinator (MDW) at Vantage Group in US-IL-Chicago

• The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning and execution of marketing programs for the concessions program at Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW). This role helps coordinate guest-facing marketing messaging, digital campaigns, signage, promotional materials, and customer activations that drive passenger engagement, support operator visibility, and contribute to commercial goals. The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Director, Commercial Marketing, the on-site MDW team, operators, client stakeholders, graphic designers, and vendors to keep projects moving from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented marketer with strong project management instincts, sound creative judgment, and a willingness to support both strategic planning and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Program Messaging and Campaign Coordination
• Coordinate the development, production, approval, and placement of digital and printed materials, including Meta and WiFi campaign assets, in-terminal signage, digital screen content, promotional materials, and other customer-facing communications.
• Work with graphic designers, operators, internal stakeholders, and vendors to develop campaign creative, messaging, signage, and visual assets that are clear, brand-aligned, and designed to capture passenger attention.
• Recommend new messaging tests, creative approaches, channel opportunities, and technology-enabled tactics based on business needs, prior campaign insights, and evolving marketing goals.
• Manage timelines, approvals, creative routing, production needs, vendor coordination, and launch requirements to ensure materials are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Act as a MDW Commercial brand ambassador to ensure brand is implemented in both design and messaging of branded environments.
• Partner with the Commercial Analyst to review available campaign, event, sales, and operational data, identify relevant takeaways, and summarize insights for internal and client stakeholders.
• Customer Activations
• Manage the design, planning, and execution of customer-facing activations and promotional events at the airport in partnership with the on-site MDW team, operators, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Develop event plans, timelines, run-of-show documents, briefing materials, and supplies to support clear coordination and successful execution.
• Coordinate event logistics including materials, signage, supplies, staffing support, vendor needs, operator participation, set-up, on-site execution, and breakdown.
• Evaluate event performance and gather feedback to identify learnings, improve future activations, and share results with relevant stakeholders.
• Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with operators, client stakeholders, airport partners, vendors, and internal teams to support alignment, approvals, and effective marketing execution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including the Chicago Department of Aviation and operators on marketing requests, timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups. Ensure stakeholders understand next steps, deadlines, and responsibilities.
• Lead bi-weekly marketing update calls with Chicago Department of Aviation’s marketing team.
• Lead quarterly marketing update calls with each MDW operator.
• Other
• Draft and coordinate select marketing, communications, and recap materials, including industry award submissions, stakeholder updates, presentation content, and program summaries as needed.
• Maintain organized marketing files, creative assets, signage records, event materials, promotional supplies, and other resources needed to support efficient execution across programs.
• Manage marketing inventory across airport locations, including tracking supplies, premiums, signage, event materials, and other customer-facing assets.
• Support marketing needs for other Vantage airport locations or commercial programs as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years’ of progressive experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances and access privileges.
• Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operational metrics.
• Highly proficient in MS Office suite or related software [Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project], e-mail platforms, WordPress, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), and Canva.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats, with the ability to shift from analyzing performance data to executing events, coordinating logistics, or developing creative materials depending on the needs of the day.
• Willingness to take a hands-on approach to all aspects of marketing execution, from strategy and creative development to the practical, behind-the-scenes work required to deliver successful events and programs.
• Strong time-management and project planning skills . Capability to independently manage multiple projects efficiently from start to finish.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal departments, clients, airport stakeholders, operators, vendors, and external partners.
• Strong communication skills across in-person, email, and other written channels, with the ability to present updates in internal and client meetings and develop clear, polished content such as industry award submissions, briefing materials, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong marketing judgment, with the ability to identify impactful visuals, messaging, promotions, and channels that support customer engagement and commercial goals. Ability to respond to evolving marketing needs, pivot when necessary, and develop practical solutions that keep programs moving forward.
• Eagerness to test, learn, and explore new marketing technologies, platforms, and tactics to improve campaign performance and execution.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary of USD $57,000 to $68,000 plus eligibility to participate in the Company's annual incentive program.
