Job description

• The Junior Staff Accountant is a key position within the Finance and Accounting Team. The position will report to the Controllership function. The Junior Staff Accountant will support the Financial Reporting and Accounting teams to deliver accurate accounting and financial information to ensure sound financial and operations decisions.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation and coding oversight for vendor invoices, bank statements and credit card receipts;
• Support in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly accrual and cash statements;
• Ensure integrity of transactions and data and it’s reflection on the company's financials;
• Perform detail accounting analysis & process related Journal Entries related to General Ledger Accounts;
• Ensure compliance with all deliverable due dates and timelines for payable and related transactions;
• Complete monthly/weekly account allocations and reconciliations;
• Other responsibilities such as recording general business transactions and special projects as assigned and modified at company’s discretion.

Requirements

• Driven to deliver, create and maintain accurate, thorough and complete accounting information, and improve accounting and reporting processes;
• Communicate effectively with upper management, and across all teams within the organization;
• Strong working knowledge of Accounting packages and data analysis and reporting tools - Excel (Advanced);
• Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements, and their interrelation;
• Ability to multi task critical functions and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines;
• Ability to work at an appropriate level of detail;
• Ability to challenge the status quo, and drive, change and deliver results;
• Excellent Financial presentation and Oral & Written communication skills.
• Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field;
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4 years of progressive general accounting and/or payables management experience required;
• Advanced Excel skills is essential;
• Multi company experience preferred;
• Strong ability to adapt to Accounting S/W packages.
