Job description

• The Production and Logistics Stager – Second Shift ensures that materials are prepared, identified, organized, and delivered to workstations in a timely manner to support uninterrupted production. This position also provides scheduled support for Warehouse, Shipping, and Receiving during the second shift by assisting with shipment preparation, packing slips, documentation, and other activities required for the following day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage materials according to the production schedule.
• Verify that materials are correctly identified and properly staged.
• Supply production lines in a timely manner to prevent downtime.
• Maintain accurate WIP inventory.
• Replenish materials throughout the shift based on production needs.
• Comply with GMP, GDP, SOPs, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S principles.
• Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Promptly report material shortages, discrepancies, and inventory issues.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
• Use required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Review the Shipping Schedule and confirm jobs scheduled to ship the following day.
• Prepare packing slips and required shipping documentation, verifying job number, PO, quantity, customer, carrier, and other applicable information.
• Verify the location and availability of finished goods in Syman prior to shipment preparation.
• Coordinate the preparation, identification, and organization of finished goods in designated staging areas.
• Confirm Production, QA, and Shipping statuses are current before identifying a shipment as ready.
• Provide periodic Warehouse support during the second shift based on workload and established priorities, while ensuring production material requirements are maintained.
• Support Shipping and Receiving activities as assigned, including organization, material movement, receiving, and shipment preparation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Shipping Schedule information, including second-shift progress, assigned personnel, and pending items.
• Ensure the accuracy and traceability of packing slips, quantities, locations, and shipment statuses.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, pending shipments, and other issues that may affect the following day's deliveries.
• Provide a clear and accurate shift handoff to the Supervisor and personnel responsible for the next shift.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and material-handling processes.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with basic computer skills.
• Ability to interpret production and shipping documentation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving, packing slip preparation, and inventory system processes preferred.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, push, pull, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle materials and perform physical tasks required in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
