Job description

• The Sr. Analyst, Investment Liaison, Fixed Income/Private Credit will support the full transaction lifecycle for private credit investments, serving as a central coordination point before, during, and after deal execution between investment teams, trading, legal, compliance, operations, valuation, accounting, audit, external agents, administrators, trustees, borrowers, sponsors, and portfolio companies.
• This role is responsible for coordinating operational and information readiness ahead of execution; supporting deal closing, funding, allocation, and settlement; and managing transactions through their post-close lifecycle. The Investment Liaison will also play a key role in complex debt reorganizations, restructurings, exchanges, amendments, liability management transactions, workouts, and other events requiring close coordination across investment, legal, trading, operations, accounting, valuation, and external counterparties.
• The successful candidate will bring strong investment judgment, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will help ensure transaction readiness, execution support, operational control, and data integrity across a growing private credit platform while building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end lifecycle of private credit transactions, including pre-trade and pre-close readiness, deal setup, execution and settlement coordination, funding, allocations, position maintenance, amendments, paydowns, restructurings, refinancings, corporate actions, and other ongoing deal events.
• Review and coordinate key transaction information before execution, including security and instrument terms, legal entities, borrower details, lender allocations, cash flow terms, funding mechanics, settlement requirements, pricing inputs, documentation requirements, and operational dependencies.
• Partner with portfolio management, research, trading, legal, compliance, operations, accounting, valuation, and data teams to identify and resolve transaction requirements or operational issues that could affect execution, closing, settlement, booking, valuation, or ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor open transaction items from initial deal preparation through closing and post-close stabilization, coordinating follow-up to ensure records, documentation, cash flows, positions, and system setup remain complete and aligned with governing documentation.
• Serve as a primary liaison with external entities, including administrative agents, trustees, loan servicers, fund administrators, borrowers, sponsors, legal counsel, restructuring advisors, and portfolio company contacts, to obtain and coordinate required deal documentation, execution information, and ongoing transaction support.
• Coordinate requests for financial statements, compliance certificates, borrowing base information, capital structure details, amendment materials, rate notices, payment notices, lender communications, valuation support, and other company or transaction-level documents.
• Track and escalate missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information to ensure timely resolution and appropriate risk awareness.
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to improve transparency, responsiveness, and operational efficiency across the private credit lifecycle.
• Coordinate operational execution of complex debt reorganizations and restructuring events, including amendments, exchanges, tenders, consent solicitations, refinancings, recapitalizations, liability management transactions, workouts, distressed exchanges, and other issuer- or lender-driven events.
• Partner with portfolio managers, analysts, traders, legal counsel, operations, accounting, valuation, custodians, agents, and other stakeholders to translate transaction terms and legal documentation into actionable elections, settlement instructions, cash and position movements, system updates, and control requirements.
• Track critical dates, elections, conditions, allocations, consideration, new or replacement instruments, fees, accrued interest, cash flows, and other transaction economics to support accurate and timely execution and downstream processing.
• Research and resolve complex position, cash, income, reference data, pricing, valuation, accounting, and reconciliation issues arising from reorganizations or other non-standard transaction events.
• Maintain deal trackers, workflow queues, document repositories, control logs, and related reporting tools to support transparency across the private credit operating model.
• Identify operational risks, data gaps, control issues, and process inefficiencies; recommend and support practical improvements that increase scale, reduce risk, and improve accuracy.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation for assigned processes, including documentation standards, request workflows, escalation paths, and quality control procedures.
• Participate in cross-training and provide operational coverage for team members as needed.
• Support new product, new market, and new investment type readiness by helping define information requirements and operating procedures for private credit transaction support.
• Work closely with portfolio managers, investment analysts, traders, legal, compliance, valuation, accounting, operations, technology, and third-party service providers throughout the transaction lifecycle, from deal preparation and execution through ongoing maintenance and exit or restructuring.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, translating complex investment terms, legal documentation, restructuring mechanics, and transaction details into actionable execution and operational requirements.
• Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing requests, escalating issues, and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in investment operations, private credit operations, loan operations, alternative investments, asset management, trading support, transaction management, restructuring support, middle office, fund accounting, valuation support, or a related financial services function.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage transaction data, documentation, and workflow deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across internal teams and external parties to resolve operational issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, reprioritize quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with private credit, bank loans, direct lending, syndicated loans, private placements, structured credit, distressed debt, reorganizations, restructurings, BDCs, private funds, or other alternative investment products.
• Familiarity with the full investment lifecycle, including pre-trade readiness, deal closing, settlement, funding, amendments, paydowns, refinancings, restructurings, exchanges, tenders, consent events, interest resets, notices, compliance certificates, and agent communications.
• Understanding of complex debt transaction mechanics and their downstream impacts on positions, cash, accounting, pricing, valuation, reconciliation, performance, and reference data.
• Experience working with administrative agents, trustees, custodians, fund administrators, borrowers, sponsors, legal counsel, restructuring advisors, auditors, or valuation teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• High accountability, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate technical investment and operational concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with workflow tools, document repositories, investment systems, and data platforms.
• Progress toward or interest in CFA, CAIA, CPA, or other relevant professional designation is a plus.

• $87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
• $95,500.00 - $163,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
• $108,000.00 - $185,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
• Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
