• Deliveroo connects millions of consumers with the restaurants and brands they love. Our Integrated Marketing team sits at the heart of how we bring those relationships to life — combining customer insight, commercial opportunity and creativity to drive growth for Deliveroo and our partners.
• Within Central Integrated Marketing, the Merchant & Ads team sets the global strategy for how we partner with merchants to help them grow on our marketplace and create compelling reasons for consumers to choose Deliveroo. This is an opportunity to shape Deliveroo’s global approach to restaurant partnerships, building high-impact collaborations with some of the world’s most recognised and loved restaurant brands. This will be a hybrid role - working 3 days a week from our London HQ.
• Owns the Restaurants merchant and ads marketing strategy end to end, reporting into the Merchant & Ads IM Director.
• Responsible for the creation and deployment of Restaurant merchant marketing playbooks across co marketing, promotions, and ads.
• Responsible for the creation and deployment of the Restaurant sell in strategy and associated sell in materials for adoption by local teams.
• Supports local marketing teams with key enterprise merchant relationships at the global level, and supports priority restaurant marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ads & Monetization Strategy
• Own the Restaurants specific ads and monetization strategy across owned and external surfaces, feeding into the global monetization strategy.
• Determine pricing, packaging, and commercial models for category-wide advertising in close partnership with Finance.
• Category Playbook: Restaurants
• Own and evolve the Restaurants merchant marketing playbook, setting how co marketing, promotions, and advertising work for restaurant merchants globally.
• Lead change initiatives that improve how Restaurants merchant marketing works, bringing Local Integrated Marketing and Functional Marketing along with you.
• Key Merchant Relationship Management
• Support local marketing teams with key enterprise merchant relationships at the global level, and support delivery of priority restaurant marketing initiatives with those merchants.
• Resolve critical merchant issues as the primary executive escalation point across markets and functional groups.
• Cross Functional Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary marketing partner to Merchant S&O and Commercial for Restaurants, translating category priorities into marketing and ads strategy.
• Represent Restaurants in cross functional forums, shaping the roadmap for merchant facing and ads facing surfaces.
• Sell In Strategy & Sales Enablement
• Establish high-impact sell-in strategies and pitch frameworks to enable Commercial and Local teams globally.
• Oversee the sell in materials, case studies, and proof points for Restaurants, using performance data to continuously refine them.
• Central Strategy & Market Coordination
• Direct global implementation of restaurant merchant marketing goals, ensuring consistency and execution rigor across all active markets.
• Report on Restaurants merchant and ads marketing performance to senior stakeholders, own specific business metrics, and lead course correction when needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally including merchant marketing, retail media, ads, or category marketing in a consumer or marketplace business.
• Track record of owning the marketing strategy for an entire team or category, and resolving complex delivery challenges that span multiple teams or functions.
• Experience managing people, and comfortable managing other people managers as your team grows.
• Strong commercial acumen, seen as a go to expert for merchant or ads marketing, using business and financial data to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Confident communicator, able to present complex ideas to large groups and flex your style for directors and department leadership.
• Skilled at establishing and owning cross functional partnerships, using relationships and creative thinking to work through conflict.
• Proven ability to lead change initiatives that improve how a team or category works, bringing others along with you.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex, cross functional inputs into a clear plan and narrative.
