Job description

• We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to lead and scale the systems, processes, and people that power Altium's marketing engine. As the Marketo platform owner and admin, you'll be the strategic and operational backbone of our marketing technology stack — partnering cross-functionally with CMO leadership and CRO/Sales leadership while directly managing a team who handles day-to-day execution. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, data, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership & Administration
• Serve as the primary Marketo admin and platform owner — managing instance architecture, workspace governance, database hygiene, compliance (GDPR/CCPA), integrations, and platform scalability. Own all MarTech vendor relationships and system configurations.
• People Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Marketing Operations Specialists, overseeing project prioritization, quality of execution, and career growth. Act as the escalation point and strategic guide for campaign builds, data requests, and operational workflows.
• CRM & Stack Integration
• Own the Marketo–Salesforce CRM integration alongside Sales Operations, ensuring clean data flow, lead lifecycle management, routing logic, and attribution alignment between marketing and sales. Troubleshoot sync issues and work closely with RevOps to maintain a healthy funnel.
• Conversational Marketing
• Oversee Qualified chatbot strategy, configuration, and optimization — collaborating with Demand Gen and Sales to drive real-time pipeline from web traffic.
• PLG & Self-Serve Motion
• Support and scale the product-led growth motion by ensuring marketing systems and data flows are built to handle self-serve acquisition, trial conversion, and lifecycle nurture — alongside the enterprise demand gen engine.
• Process & Program Governance
• Define and enforce marketing operations best practices including naming conventions, QA sweeps, and change management. Document and scale repeatable processes across multiple teams.
• Cross-Functional Partnership
• Be a trusted partner to Marketing leadership (CMO) and Sales leadership (CRO) — translating business needs into operational requirements and delivering with speed and accuracy.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Marketing Operations, with at least 1–2 years in a people management or lead role
• Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) strongly preferred; deep hands-on admin experience required
• Strong Salesforce CRM proficiency — experience managing the Marketo-SFDC integration including lead lifecycle, syncing, and attribution
• Experience with Tableau or comparable BI tools for interpreting/owning marketing dashboards and reporting
• Familiarity with Qualified or similar conversational ai marketing / chatbot platforms
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize a team's workload across multiple stakeholders and concurrent projects
• Strong grasp of data hygiene, segmentation, lead scoring, nurture logic, and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
• Experience supporting both PLG/self-serve and enterprise sales motions — comfortable designing systems that serve both
• Excellent communication skills — able to distill complex technical concepts for executive and non-technical partners
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment; B2C exposure a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global company
• Experience in or passion for the electronics, engineering, or hardware-adjacent software industry
• Familiarity with Altium Develop, Altium Agile Teams, or similar cloud-based engineering collaboration platforms
• Background working with global, distributed marketing teams
