• AUREOS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LIMITED as part of the JV between Taylor Woodrow and Aureos is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead and optimize all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, supplier performance for the Washwood Heath Project for HS2

Responsibilities

• * Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and policies that support the project objectives.
• * Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• * Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• * Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and requisitioning to purchase order creation and payment processing.
• * Implement best practices in procurement across both businesses, including spend analysis, demand forecasting, and risk management.
• * Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• * Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments (e.g., operations, finance, legal) to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes within the JV.
• * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
• * Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation across all procurement categories.
• * Manage and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
• * Manage the HS2 process and procedure of approval of suppliers and subcontractors, including managing any suppliers that are nominated or preferred

Requirements

• * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• * Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the infrastructure or related services sector.
• * Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies that deliver significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• * Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
• * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• * Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• * Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• * CIPS certification or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
• * Deep understanding of market dynamics, supplier landscapes, and best practices in procurement.
