Job description
- The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations and inventory flow within the Distribution Centre, ensuring timely order fulfillment and optimal inventory positioning.
- This role extends beyond operational execution to include ownership of complex logistics initiatives, cross-functional coordination, and system-driven process improvements. The incumbent partners with manufacturing sites, Global Planning teams, Global Distribution Centers, IT, 3PL partners, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, system implementation, and compliance across the network.
Responsibilities
- • Own and manage inventory planning activities, including replenishment and stock allocation to ensure service level and revenue objectives are achieved
- • Lead coordination with manufacturing sites on overdue purchase orders to drive delivery commitments and ensure alignment to required delivery timelines
- • Drive and take ownership of logistics and system-related projects, including system implementations, process changes, and operational enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- • Manage and optimize inventory health through proactive analysis of slow-moving, excess, and blocked stock, including executing disposition actions to minimize risk and loss
- • Maintain accurate inbound visibility in systems, including updating delivery dates, inbound manifest management, and monitoring goods receipts to ensure reliable product availability and order fulfilment
- • Own and manage stop ship processes to ensure timely execution of disposition actions, minimizing customer impact and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
- • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive process standardization and continuous improvement across logistics operations
Requirements
- • Minimum Diploma of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related disciplines
- • 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
- • Strong proficiency in SAP / ERP systems and MS office
- • Experience in SAP and WMS interface preferred
- • Commitment expected during quarter ends
- • Operates in a dynamic, fast-paced distribution environment with regional/global interactions
- • Handles simultaneous operational execution and project responsibilities
- • Requires strong problem-solving and ability to manage competing priorities
