• The Windows Systems Engineer/Reviewer will assess Windows-based infrastructures, including Active Directory, DNS, and virtualization platforms, for compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. When not performing assessments, this role will assist DTRA sites with STIG application, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support. Responsibilities include securing containerized workloads in hybrid environments and enforcing internal security controls. As part of a DCDC-certified CORA team, the Windows Reviewer will provide detailed assessment reports and recommendations for addressing findings.
• We are seeking a Cyber operations Readiness Assesment Systems Engineer/Reviewer (Windows) to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Fort Belvoir, VA.

The successful CORA Lead Team Reviewer will support mission needs, multi-domain assessment coverage, and is expected to cross-train into multiple functional disciplines and support operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Review Windows Server configurations, GPOs, and domain controllers for STIG compliance.
• Assess virtualization platforms (VMWare ESXi, VDI, Nutanix) for secure deployment.
• Validate patch management, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
• Review containerization platforms (Windows containers) for secure configuration.
• Provide technical support for STIG implementation and ATO documentation.
• Deliver assessment reports and actionable remediation recommendations.

Requirements

• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Required Certifications: Ability to obtain DoD 8140/8570 IAT III certification within 90 days of hire (CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
• Education: BS in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 8–10 years in Windows systems engineering or cybersecurity.
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP.
