Avionics System Engineer at TEKFORTUNE INC in Long Beach, CA

Responsibilities

• System design and development: system requirement and architecture updates including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes
• Partner with pilots and system owners (avionics, flight controls, electrical) to capture system needs in avionics and displays
• Ensure that the Avionics system complies with relevant aviation standards (ARP 4754A, ARP 4761) and regulations (Part 25, Issue papers, etc.)
• Perform supplier oversight during procurement and development phases
• Oversee the system integration of the Avionics system and integration within the aircraft with the other systems
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to verify system performance
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance
• Must be able to demonstrate system functioning to the stakeholders in Lab Environment

Requirements

• 10+ Years of Experience in Aerospace Domain covering following
• System design and development: system requirement and architecture updates including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes
• Partner with pilots and system owners (avionics, flight controls, electrical) to capture system needs in avionics and displays
• Ensure that the Avionics system complies with relevant aviation standards (ARP 4754A, ARP 4761) and regulations (Part 25, Issue papers, etc.)
• Perform supplier oversight during procurement and development phases
• Oversee the system integration of the Avionics system and integration within the aircraft with the other systems
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to verify system performance
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance
• Flight Control engineering and testing experience will be highly preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate system functioning to the stakeholders in Lab Environment
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the V-model lifecycle, and good cross-functional versatility
• Experience with avionics integration on Part 25 aircraft
• Experience with supplier oversight
• Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot test failures, and drive root-cause investigations, and document results clearly
• Direct experience with airplane development programs especially experimental designs
• Background in test planning and execution
• Nice to have : Familiarity with digital thread approaches (CAD/FEA/PLM)
• Education : Graduate Engineer
