Job description
- BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Finance Intern to join our team and support the Finance Department with day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This internship is a great opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field to gain real-world experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- As a Finance Intern, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to the financial decision-making process, reporting tools, forecasting methods, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards for internal stakeholders
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Conduct financial analysis on company performance, trends, and key metrics
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
- Help reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintain financial databases and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing financial documentation
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
- Assist in creating presentations and materials for internal financial reviews
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- Completed introductory finance and accounting courses
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday) is a plus

- Familiarity with financial modeling
