Responsibilities
- The duties of the Medical Assistant include but are not limited to the following:
- Room patients
- Obtain vital signs and medical histories
- Document and update patient interactions and information in EMR
- Draw up injections
- Assist the Radiology Tech as needed
- Assist with splinting and casting
- Process prescriptions
- Clean and prepare exam rooms
- Maintain and update logs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a medical assistant in a high volume setting
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining vital signs and medical histories
- Assisting with exams and procedures
- Strong experience entering and updating patient information in EMR
- Drawing up injections
- Assisting with casting and splinting
- Maintaining and updating logs
- Processing prescriptions and refills
- Flexible to work in Dunkirk as needed
- HS Diploma
