Job description

• The Procurement Rotational Development Program offers new graduates a rotational assignment through each Procurement department, with the total rotation lasting about 18 months. At the end of the rotation, you will find yourself working full-time in one of our procurement spend categories.
• Procurement is responsible for providing Covestro with materials and services on time, of the right quality, and at the best total value. • When you’re part of the Procurement team, you will collaborate with suppliers and work with internal stakeholders to identify problems, create resolutions, and define opportunities. You’ll perform market research, vet suppliers, perform and award bids, and negotiate contracts. You’ll learn the strategic sourcing process and how to evaluate and manage suppliers all while working in a global cross functional team. During your Procurement Development Program, you will spend time in all procurement functions, work on cross functional projects, complete negotiation and strategic sourcing training.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• · BA/BS degree in a field such as: Supply Chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Information Technology
• · GPA 3.0 or above
• · Previous experience at Covestro
• · Experience with SAP, APO, statistical tools and/or modeling software.
• · Ability to speak, read or write German or Spanish is a plus.
• · Previous experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations through co-op or internship experience; preferably in a chemical/industrial organization.
• · Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• · Must demonstrate leadership skills, presentation skills, and strategic thinking
• · Proven experience in achieving results by working in a team environment and demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of backgrounds and cultures
