Senior Director, Access Marketing and Operations at Disc Medicine in Massachusetts - Hybrid

• Join our team in a dynamic hybrid role, offering flexibility to work remotely or from our headquarters in Watertown, MA.
• Reporting to the Vice President of Market Access, the Senior Director, Marketing and Operations will be a key strategic leader within the Market Access team, responsible for leading access marketing initiatives and operational execution for Disc’s therapies resulting in appropriate patient access.
• The role requires a strategic mindset, a collaborative approach, and a strong commitment to building a culture of ownership, accountability, and trust. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies and tactics to engage and facilitate timely and appropriate patient access. Responsibilities will also include managing Market Access operations, which include analytics, cross function training, budget process, etc.

Responsibilities

• Access Marketing Strategy & Execution — 40%
• Lead payer, access and PSP marketing initiatives and tactics that drive positive coverage and streamlined patient and HCP access journey.
• Scope, develop and execute promotional payer marketing initiatives to reinforce value proposition to managed care customers: PBMs, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DOD and IDNs.
• Develop and execute pull through collateral to educate HCPs and office staff on access and reimbursement process for Disc products
• Support development of brand plan from access perspective
• Patient & HCP Access / Cross-Functional Execution — 25%
• Collaborate with patient services, field reimbursement, sales and marketing to focus on setting access expectations and communicating to ensure optimal patient and HCP experience.
• Manage agencies to deliver tools/tactics to ensure quality resources are delivered on time within budget
• Coordinate and analyze coverage policies, PSP data, patient/HCP feedback, evolving market dynamics and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Market Access Operations, Analytics & Training — 25%
• Lead Market Access training initiatives to elevate organizational understanding, build cross-functional trust, and embed access literacy across the company.
• Manage Market Access budget process
• Lead strategy and tactics for industry meetings/conventions
• Compliance & Strategic Leadership — 10%
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance standards, modeling ethical behavior and a commitment to doing what is right.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, MPH, etc.)
• 15+ years of progressive commercial experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, ideally in specialty or rare/orphan diseases
• 5+ years of Market Access leadership experience
• Rare/Orphan product launch experience required, experience with HUB services, reimbursement, and specialty pharmacy essential
• Strong understanding of commercial and government payer systems, including Medicare Part D and pharmacy benefit management
• Track record of successful strategy development and execution in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams with a strong culture of accountability and trust
• Exceptional communication and executive engagement skills, with experience influencing C-suite stakeholders internally and externally
• Willingness to travel as needed to support team and business objectives

• The annual base salary range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rates are determined by considering multiple factors including qualifications, relevance of experience, education & credentials, subject matter expertise, and internal parity.
• Salary Range
• $261,000 - $319,000 USD
