• We are seeking an ambitious, analytical, and highly driven Senior Corporate Tax Analyst to join our high-growth Finance organization. In this role, you will accelerate business growth and safeguard financial integrity by spearheading direct and indirect corporate tax compliance, provision reporting, and strategic tax planning. Your technical mastery of corporate tax accounting, including ASC740 analysis, calculation, and disclosure will be instrumental to the company’s tax department. Key skills in this role include proactiveness and flexibility to learn new areas of tax, including overlap with partnership, multi-state, and property taxes, as well as indirect taxes. You are a relationship builder and proactive communicator who seamlessly collaborates across Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and Executive leadership to translate intricate tax regulations into strategic business advantages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and/or detailed review of federal, multi-state, and local corporate income and franchise tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
• Ownership of the quarterly and year-end ASC 740 income tax provision calculations, including effective tax rate analysis, deferred tax asset/liability reconciliations, and financial statement tax footnote disclosures.
• Manage general ledger tax account reconciliations, ensuring accurate roll-forwards and proper alignment with internal accounting controls and financial reporting standards.
• Partner with cross-functional internal teams and external tax and audit advisors to identify tax planning opportunities, streamline compliance workflows, and evaluate business transaction structures.
• Coordinate indirect tax functions across multiple jurisdictions, including sales and use tax, property tax filings, gross receipts, and commercial activity taxes.
• Monitor federal, state, and local legislative developments to analyze their impact on corporate tax liabilities and deliver clear, actionable guidance to leadership.
• Act as a primary liaison during federal, state, and local audits, gathering documentation, preparing Information Document Requests (IDR) responses, and resolving tax notices efficiently.
• Drive process automation and data integrity initiatives within tax technology, ERP systems, and spreadsheet modeling to eliminate manual inefficiencies and scale operational capacity, experience with automation and AI tools is a strong plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or equivalent professional experience preferred; Master’s in Taxation (MST) or Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is a plus.
• 2–6 years of progressive corporate tax experience in a mature corporate tax department, public accounting, or a high-growth environment organized as a corporation for tax purposes.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active candidacy is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of U.S. federal and multi-state corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 tax accounting standards, as well as state apportionment and a willingness to own and develop and scale the evolving corporate tax function.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or operationally complex, multi-entity industries is a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, nested lookups, pivot tables) and experience working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday) and tax compliance/provision platforms (e.g., ONESOURCE, Corptax) is a strong plus.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and analytical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders and build trusted cross-functional relationships.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and flexible environment with the agility to manage multiple competing deadlines.
