Job description
- Join One Community Health as a Medical Assistant Apprentice and gain hands-on experience while building a career in healthcare.
- Paid apprenticeship with a starting wage of $20/hour, with an increase at 6 months
- Additional $0.75/hour bilingual differential for employees who demonstrate fluent proficiency in both Spanish and English
- Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam
- 12–14 month program
- 156 hours of online classroom learning
- 2,000 hours of on-the-job skills training
- No cost to participants for training or CCMA exam fees
- No healthcare experience required, though prior experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience while building a career in healthcare
- Complete 156 hours of online classroom learning
- Complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job skills training
- Upon successful completion, eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam
Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
