Job description

• As Digital Marketing Manager, you'll lead all marketing strategy and execution and own the numbers that drive revenue. Your remit covers conversion rate optimization, search (SEO and GEO), email and SMS, customer journeys, analytics, and our paid media agency. You'll set strategy, carry it out, measure results, and report on them. This is a senior individual contributor role with room to grow into leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Revenue growth and strategy
• Own the digital marketing strategy and yearly plan, tied to revenue, new customer acquisition, retention, and profit goals.
• Set and track core KPIs: revenue, conversion rate, average order value, CAC, LTV, ROAS/MER, and retention.
• Manage the marketing budget and allocate spend across channels based on performance.
• Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
• Build and run an ongoing testing program (A/B and multivariate) across landing pages, product pages, cart, and checkout.
• Use analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings to find and fix sources of friction.
• Work with e-commerce and web teams to improve site speed, merchandising, and the mobile experience.
• SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
• Own the technical, on-page, and off-page SEO strategy, including site structure, schema, and content for a large product catalog.
• Build strategies so Mood Fabrics shows up and gets cited in AI search experiences such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Gemini.
• Work with content creators on buying guides, fabric education, and category content.
• Email and SMS marketing
• Own the email and SMS program: campaigns, automated flows (welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back), segmentation, and list growth.
• Keep deliverability, compliance (CAN-SPAM, TCPA), and testing standards high.
• Customer journeys and personas
• Build and maintain data-backed customer personas, such as fashion designers, home sewers, students, costume and theater buyers, interior designers, and trade accounts.
• Map full customer journeys across showroom, QR code ordering, web, email, SMS, and paid channels, then personalize each stage.
• Analytics and measurement
• Own GA4 and Google Tag Manager: tracking plans, event setup, conversion tracking, consent mode, and data quality.
• Use Triple Whale for attribution, creative analysis, and blended performance reporting.
• Build dashboards and give leadership clear weekly and monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
• Connect in-store and QR code activity to online data so we can measure across channels.
• Paid media agency management
• Serve as the main contact for our paid media agency (Meta, Google Search/Shopping/PMax, TikTok, Pinterest, and others).
• Set goals, approve budgets and strategy, review creative, and hold the agency accountable to results.
• Cross-functional leadership
• Work with the owner, e-commerce, merchandising, showroom, and creative partners on product launches, collaborations, and seasonal campaigns.
• Manage freelancers and vendors as needed.

Requirements

• Required
• 5+ years of digital marketing experience, preferably in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer retail, with a record of growing revenue you can measure.
• Hands-on skill with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Triple Whale (or similar attribution tools such as Northbeam or Rockerbox).
• Proven experience running CRO programs and A/B testing tools (e.g., VWO, Optimizely, Convert, Intelligems).
• Strong knowledge of SEO, plus a working understanding of GEO and AI search visibility.
• Experience owning email and SMS programs on platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, or Postscript.
• Experience managing paid media agencies and budgets, with a solid grasp of Meta and Google Ads.
• Experience building customer personas and journey maps from real data.
• Strong analytical skills. You're comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and turning data into decisions.
• Experience managing budgets and forecasting.
• Excellent written and spoken communication. You can present clearly to leadership.
• Organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving business where the owner is closely involved.
• Able to work full-time on-site in Lodi, NJ.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Omnichannel experience connecting physical retail with e-commerce.
• Familiarity with Looker Studio, SQL, BigQuery, or server-side tagging.
• Experience with influencer, affiliate, or creator marketing.
• Experience managing direct reports.
