Job description

• Genesis10 is currently seeking a Splunk Reporting Monitoring Analyst for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.
• We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Reporting Monitoring Analyst to design, build, and maintain advanced Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts that enable proactive and reactive operational support for enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms. This role directly supports Operations and Support teams, ensuring high availability, performance, and user experience across critical business tools. The ideal candidate combines deep Splunk expertise, a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Graph APIs, and a production operations mindset, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations aligned with operational and business needs
• Build optimized SPL queries to analyze large-scale log, event, and metric data
• Develop real-time and near-real-time alerts to detect service degradation, outages, and abnormal behavior
• Partner with Operations and Support teams to define meaningful KPIs, SLIs, and thresholds
• Leverage Microsoft Graph APIs to ingest, correlate, and analyze M365 telemetry and service signals
• Operate within a regulated financial services environment, ensuring reporting aligns with security, risk, and compliance requirements
• Act as a trusted partner to Operations, Support, Engineering, and Product teams
• Translate complex technical data into clear narratives, summaries, and recommendations

Requirements

• Advanced experience with Splunk Enterprise (search, dashboards, reports, alerts) and strong proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language)
• Experience with Python and Powershell
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft Graph APIs
• Experience supporting Operations and Support monitoring for enterprise applications
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in Excel and Power BI
• Strong understanding of incident management, problem management, and service monitoring
• Experience working in a financial institution or highly regulated environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical insights in simple, actionable terms
• Natural curiosity and strong problem-solving mindset
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
• Splunk certifications (Power User, Admin, Architect)
• Experience supporting collaboration platforms at enterprise scale
• Background in SRE, NOC, or production support environments
• Experience building executive dashboards and operational scorecards
• Ability to design reports that drive decisions, not just visibility
