Job description

• Energy CX is rapidly growing its customer success team and we are seeking Chicago-based professionals to work with the largest CRE firms and manufacturers in the country.
• We are looking for customer-facing individuals who will be responsible for renewing our existing customers and strengthening the relationship. Given that this is a growing team we are looking for an individual who is comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• The person for this job is a relationship builder and excellent communicator. Energy CX believes in obsessing over the customer experience. We are looking for people who understand the importance of this innately, and get excited about making customers happy.

Responsibilities

• Objectives of this Role
• Retain logos while increasing net revenue
• Educate and set clear expectations with your customers. Extreme visibility / clarity for all customers is the goal
• Actively manage all customers to ensure their agreed upon success criteria are met
• Create lasting relationships with customers through in-person events (dinner, sporting events, coffee, etc.)
• Proactively renew your pipeline in correspondence with energy market movement
• Identify and mitigate risk within your book of business
• Host recurring customer meetings aimed at delivery of success criteria, active management, and building trust
• Utilize proprietary tech to track energy markets for opportunities
• Act as your customers "In-house-expert", answering questions directly or connecting them to the people that can

Requirements

• Solution-oriented. Problems / Issues are viewed as opportunities, not obstacles
• Growth-minded: Able to zoom out and prioritize the long term over the short term
• Interested in learning about a complex industry and new customer base (prior experience in the industry is a plus)
• 3+ years of professional experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive (salary depends on experience)
• Proven track record of success & experience in the stated "Objectives of this Role"
• Customer-Obsessed mindset: Prioritize the customer, underpromise and over-deliver
• Hyper-communication: Timely, clear, and efficient communication externally and internally
• Knowledge of general best practices in sales cycle and/or customer retention
