Responsibilities

• The Treasury Management Consultant (TMC) is responsible for growing Treasury Management revenue, deposits, and client relationships within an assigned Commercial Banking portfolio and territory. The TMC serves as a trusted advisor by delivering customized treasury, liquidity, payments, fraud mitigation, and working capital solutions that help clients optimize cash flow, improve operational efficiency, and reduce financial risk. This role is focused on SPECIALTY/GNP SEGMENT clients.
• The TMC partners closely with Relationship Managers and internal product specialists to develop and execute client strategies, expand share of wallet, and drive profitable growth. Seen as a trusted advisor, the TMC works closely with Commercial clients to understand their business, optimize cash flow and minimize financial risk.
• The TMC partners with, informally/formally mentors, and aides in the development Treasury Management Analysts (TMAs) to support a strong talent pipeline. Through coaching, collaborative client engagement, and exposure to consultative sales activities, the TMC helps TMAs build treasury management expertise , sales acumen, and readiness for future TMC roles. The TMC leverages TMAs as strategic partners to enhance client outcomes while developing the next generation of Treasury Management talent.
• Sales Growth & Portfolio Strategy
• Develop and execute strategic market and portfolio plans to achieve Treasury Management revenue, deposit growth, client acquisition, and relationship expansion goals.
• Generate new business through proactive prospecting, referral partner development, joint calling efforts, and industry networking.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and manage opportunities from prospecting through implementation, including RFPs and proposal requests.
• Lead pricing discussions and negotiations that balance client value with relationship profitability.
• Persuasively communicate Old National Bank's value proposition to clients, prospects, and internal partners.
• Consultative Client Engagement
• Leverage consultative discovery, financial analysis, treasury assessments, benchmarking, and industry expertise to identify client opportunities and design customized solutions.
• Analyze payment flows, cash conversion cycles, liquidity structures, financial reporting, and industry trends to recommend solutions that support client objectives .
• Develop and present solutions focused on liquidity management, cash flow optimization, receivables automation, payments efficiency, fraud prevention, commercial card, and treasury technology.
• Attend client meetings, prospect presentations, industry events, board meetings, and business development activities.
• Partner Engagement & Education
• Serve as the Treasury Management subject matter expert for Commercial Relationship Managers and business partners.
• Educate relationship managers and partners on Treasury Management products, industry trends, digital payment innovations, fraud mitigation strategies, and treasury best practices.
• Develop joint client strategies and coordinated calling plans to increase Treasury Management revenue and wallet share.
• Communicate pipeline activity, market opportunities, competitive insights, and sales initiatives with internal partners.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Treasury Support, Deposits, Commercial Payments, Fraud Solutions, and Implementation teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Client Delivery & Relationship Management
• Deliver an exceptional end-to-end client experience from discovery through implementation and ongoing relationship management.
• Conduct periodic client reviews to identify growth opportunities and ensure Treasury Management solutions continue to meet client objectives .
• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding treasury strategies, operational changes, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
• Partner with Treasury Management Analysts and support teams to resolve client issues, coordinate implementation resources, and support successful onboarding.
• Enhance Old National Bank's reputation through high-quality service, responsiveness, professionalism, and consultative expertise .
• Risk, Pricing & Operational Excellence
• Manage escalated client situations and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure accurate pricing, documentation, reporting, and audit requirements are maintained .
• Maintain strong risk management and client retention practices throughout the sales and relationship management process.
• Maintain proficiency in Treasury Management systems and support client education when needed.
• Team Contribution & Mentorship

• Bachelor's degree in Business , Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and/or H.S. Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience .
• Minimum 5 years of banking, treasury management, payments, cash management, or commercial banking experience.
• Demonstrated consultative sales and business development experience.
• Proven ability to build, maintain , and expand client relationships.
• Strong financial analysis, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills .
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.

• Job titles and career levels will take into account: previous experience, depth and breadth of previous or current institution size – the same role for many years or a variety of roles in the same space over a number of years, skills, knowledge, previous performance and success factors, proven ability to achieve sales targets year over year, education /certification, length of time in TM industry or a similar revenue generating role.
• 3+ years of Treasury Management sales experience.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification or commitment to obtain.
• MBA or advanced business degree.
• Experience working with Middle Market, Commercial, Corporate, Government, Healthcare, Non-Profit, Specialty Banking, or Industry Vertical clients.
• Demonstrated success achieving Treasury Management sales goals, deposit growth objectives , and strategic relationship expansion.
• Knowledge of treasury technology, real-time payments, fraud mitigation, commercial card, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
• Experience leading complex client engagements involving multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or team development contributions, particularly for Senior-level consideration.

Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $ 81,700.00 /Yr. - $ 165,100.00 /Yr.. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.
