Product Manager, Payments & RCM at Weave in Weave - Headquarters (Lehi, UT)

Job description

• Weave is building a more connected financial experience for healthcare practices and their patients, bringing payments and revenue-cycle workflows directly into the communications and interactions practices use every day. As a Product Manager on the Payments & RCM team, you will own products and workflows that help practices collect more efficiently, understand what has been paid, and reconcile payments back to the systems they use to run their businesses.
• You will work across payments, practice-management software, patient financial experiences, and healthcare revenue cycle management, partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, Finance, Risk, and go-to-market teams. This role reports to the Head of Product, Payments & RCM and will have meaningful ownership over an area that is strategically important to Weave’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, discovery, prioritization, and execution for a set of payments and RCM workflows, from identifying the problem through launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
• Improve how healthcare practices request, collect, record, and reconcile patient payments across digital and in-office experiences.
• Build workflows that connect payment activity with practice-management systems, patient ledgers, claims and RCM data, and other systems of record.
• Develop a deep understanding of how practices reconcile transactions, settlements, refunds, adjustments, fees, chargebacks, and other payment activity with patient balances and accounting records.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and eliminate fragmented workflows between Weave, practice-management software, payment systems, and financial operations.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to understand front-office and back-office workflows, identify high-value problems, and validate solutions before significant development investment.
• Define clear product requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria while giving Engineering and Design appropriate latitude to determine the best solution.
• Use customer research, product analytics, payment data, operational data, and financial metrics to prioritize opportunities and evaluate product performance.
• Partner closely with Engineering to balance new capabilities with reliability, scalability, platform improvements, and technical debt in financial workflows where accuracy matters.
• Work with payment, technology, and healthcare partners to define and deliver integrations that expand Weave’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Finance, Risk, and Operations to ensure successful launches and ongoing product adoption.
• Develop a strong understanding of the economics of the products you own, including payment volume, adoption, monetization, cost, and operational impact.
• Help shape the longer-term Payments & RCM roadmap as Weave expands its role in the patient financial journey.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product management experience building and shipping software products.
• Meaningful product experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Healthcare payments or payment technology
• Practice Management Software, EHR, or healthcare RCM
• Financial reconciliation, patient ledgers, billing, or accounting workflows
• Strong understanding of how complex operational workflows translate into product requirements and user experiences.
• Experience working closely with Engineering and Design to deliver technically complex products or integrations.
• Ability to understand APIs, data flows, system integrations, and dependencies well enough to make informed product decisions without needing to be the engineer.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate problems, prioritize investments, establish KPIs, and measure results.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical audiences and translate between customer, business, operational, and engineering needs.
• Experience conducting customer discovery and turning qualitative and quantitative insights into product decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively when the problem is not fully defined and to create structure from ambiguity.
• You have worked on payment reconciliation between a processor/payment platform and a PMS, EHR, ERP, accounting system, or other system of record.
• You understand healthcare payment workflows such as patient responsibility, statements, payment plans, card-on-file, post-insurance balances, collections, and payment posting.
• You have worked for a PMS/EHR company, healthcare payments company, RCM technology company, payment processor, PayFac, or vertically integrated SaaS platform.
• You understand the payment lifecycle beyond checkout, including authorization, capture, settlement, funding, refunds, disputes, transaction matching, and reconciliation.
• You have experience with platforms serving SMB healthcare practices, particularly dental, optometry, veterinary, medical, or other ambulatory healthcare markets.
• You understand enough of the healthcare revenue cycle to reason about claims, eligibility, insurance adjudication, patient responsibility, and collections.
• You naturally look for opportunities to replace manual financial workflows with automation while maintaining appropriate accuracy, controls, and user trust.
• You can move comfortably between customer workflow details and broader product/business strategy.
• You ask “why?” before jumping to a feature solution and are comfortable challenging assumptions with data and customer evidence.
• You take ownership of outcomes rather than simply managing a roadmap or backlog.
