Account Manager - Service Sales at Classic Fire in Ottawa, Ontario

Job description

• The Account Manager-Service Sales supports existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities within CFLS service and inspection portfolios. This role is responsible for lead generation, customer relationship management, quoting, sales administration, and customer support throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Promote, specify, and sell CFLS products and services while serving as a subject matter expert, maintaining a thorough understanding of service offerings, pricing structures, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, referrals, and internally generated leads, building a consistent pipeline of sales opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial customer contact through proposal, negotiation, and closing, ensuring timely follow-up and the successful conversion of opportunities into profitable customer agreements.
• Prepare, review, and manage customer quotations, deficiency reports, service proposals, and related sales documentation, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and prompt delivery.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs, delivering value-added solutions, and serving as a trusted point of contact for service-related requirements.
• Manage assigned customer accounts and support customer retention initiatives, identifying opportunities for renewals, account growth, cross-selling, and additional service offerings.
• Provide customers with comprehensive product knowledge, technical information, and solution-based recommendations, ensuring services align with operational, regulatory, and business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Care, Operations, Service Teams, and Sales Specialists to ensure a seamless customer experience and the successful execution of customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales activities, quotations, opportunities, and account information within the CRM system, while generating sales reports and supporting documentation as required.
• Monitor industry developments, market conditions, competitive activity, and supplier offerings, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and staying informed on emerging opportunities and trends.
• Provide ongoing customer support and post-sale follow-up, ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing concerns, nurturing relationships, and identifying future sales opportunities.
• Maintain regular communication with sales leadership regarding pipeline activity, account performance, and sales objectives, while actively participating in team meetings, training programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or business development experience.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Experience preparing quotations and sales documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
• Fire protection industry experience considered an asset.
• Primarily office-based environment.
• Extensive computer and telephone use.
• Regular sitting, typing, and screen work.
• Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
