Job description

• The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new wholesale business, managing existing customer accounts, and achieving company sales goals.
• This position will work directly with retailers, distributors, specialty stores, and other wholesale buyers to present products, develop sales opportunities, plan wholesale promotions, and build long-term customer relationships.
• The Sales Manager will also work closely with Product Development and other internal teams to share customer feedback, identify market opportunities, and support new product launches.

Responsibilities

• Develop new wholesale business with retailers, distributors, specialty stores, and other potential customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and encourage reorders
• Present new and existing products to buyers, highlighting product features, benefits, and sales opportunities
• Develop and execute wholesale sales plans and promotional strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales goals
• Plan promotions and sales programs for wholesale customers to support sell-through and increase orders
• Identify new markets, customers, and sales opportunities
• Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines
• Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, orders, and customer requests in a timely manner
• Recommend products and merchandise based on customer needs and sales opportunities
• Gather customer feedback and communicate new product ideas and market needs to the Product Development team
• Track sales performance and provide sales reports and forecasts to management
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
• Coordinate with Product Development, Wholesale, and other internal teams as needed
• Work with outside sales representatives and support their sales activities
• Plan, coordinate, and attend trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events
• Travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and other sales activities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, wholesale sales, account management, or a related sales role preferred
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Sales-driven and comfortable working toward monthly and annual sales goals
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Willing to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required
• Experience in the toy, gift, plush, character product, or consumer products industry
• Knowledge of the toy and gift market, including industry trends and buying cycles
• Existing relationships with retailers, distributors, specialty stores, or wholesale buyers
• Experience developing wholesale promotions or sales programs
• Experience attending or managing trade shows
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Experience working with outside or independent sales representatives
