• POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to improve market share and increase casino revenues in accordance with strategic goals and objectives of the company. Supervises the Marketing Department operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for tasking and utilization of marketing staff to ensure timeliness of projects and completion of goals assigned by Marketing Director.
• Participate in development of all aspects of creative artwork designed for use on behalf of the property;
• Participate in the creation, development and execution of all casino programs, promotions and events;
• Assist Marketing Director to develop and maintain the guest database and create programs to maximize guest retention and develop guest’s participation in various gaming activities and programs;
• Assist Marketing Director to schedule staff.
• Experience utilizing databases and demographics for pulling reports and other data analysis tasks.
• Player Development duties.
• Use of social media marketing, email marketing and graphic design to promote events, promotions and the property.
• Other duties as assigned.
• AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees Marketing Coordinators, and over Player Development.

Requirements

• QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Communications, including experience with databases, demographics and production preferred
• Advertising experience/knowledge required (agency experience preferred). Print knowledge helpful.
• Two (2) years marketing experience required (in Casino field preferred).
• Must have at least one (1) year management and supervisory experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience (Equivalent = two (2) year’s direct related experience to one year of education).
• Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Must have knowledge of Title 31 laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of marketing and non marketing computer based systems.
