Job description

The Analytics Engineer is accountable for turning Managed Services Technology data across platforms, workflows, service tooling, automation, controls and operational performance into trusted, reusable data products that support delivery decisions, service operations, continuous improvement and executive reporting. The role sits between data engineering, business analysis and analytics: it models raw operational data into well-defined datasets, metrics, semantic definitions, dashboards and quality checks that can be reused across managed-service offerings.

Requirements

• Strong experience in analytics engineering, data modelling, BI engineering, data analysis, data engineering or a similar modern data role.
• Advanced SQL experience and practical experience building trusted analytical datasets in cloud data warehouse or lakehouse environments.
• Experience with data transformation frameworks, version control, code review, CI/CD, testing, documentation and analytics lifecycle management.
• Experience defining KPIs, semantic layers, metric catalogues, business glossaries, dashboards or governed self-service reporting assets.
• Experience working with operational, workflow, service management, product, AI, automation or managed service data preferred.
• Experience with Python, dbt or equivalent transformation tooling, BI platforms, data observability, data catalogues or lineage tools preferred.
• Relevant data, analytics, cloud, BI, Agile, DevOps or service management certification preferred but not essential.
• Advanced SQL, data modelling, dimensional modelling and analytical transformation design.
• Metric definition, KPI design, semantic layer development and business glossary management.
• Data quality testing, reconciliation, lineage, freshness checks, anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
• Dashboard and scorecard design with strong judgement on what evidence is decision-useful.
• Version control, code review, documentation, CI/CD and software engineering practices for analytics code.
• Ability to translate business questions into reusable datasets, measures, dimensions and analytical products.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms, BI tools, data catalogues, transformation tools and operational telemetry sources.
• Practical understanding of AI-ready data context, natural-language analytics risks, human review, access control and governed reuse.
