- Join the Cleveland Clinic’s Middleburg Heights Family Health Center, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. To provide convenience and top-quality medical care close to home, the Middleburg Heights Family Health Center has a Pharmacy (with a drive-thru), Laboratory, Imaging department, and physical therapy gym along with 145 exam rooms, 11 physical therapy rooms, 29 procedure rooms, and various blood draw stations.
- The Family Medicine team is uniquely trained to care for patients as a whole person, regardless of age or sex. The cornerstone of Family Medicine is an ongoing, personal relationship between caregivers and patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes. Caregivers and patients work together to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
- This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position will work between 8:00am and 5:00pm. May include evenings/weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
- Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved medical assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
- Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross upon hire or willing to obtain during the new hire period.
- Medical Assisting certification.
- Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship.
