• Are you a detail-oriented student looking to gain real-world experience in accounting and finance? Fair-Rite Products Corp., a global leader in ferrite technology and manufacturing, is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team and gain hands-on exposure to the financial side of a dynamic manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable, including reviewing invoices for proper documentation, matching invoices to purchase orders/receipts, and preparing items for payment.
• Assist with accounts receivable, including applying customer payments, researching discrepancies, and reviewing aging reports.
• Perform account reconciliations, including selected general ledger accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance-sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing supporting schedules and gathering documentation for journal entries.
• Review and organize supporting documentation for financial transactions to ensure records are complete and properly maintained.
• Assist with inventory accounting, including reviewing inventory transactions, cycle-count results, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, including material costs, labor, overhead, variances, and product costing.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, spreadsheets, and management schedules.
• Perform data analysis in Excel, including reconciliations, comparisons, trend analysis, and identification of unusual transactions or variances.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a recent graduate
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
