• Salary Range
• The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting clinical, operational, financial, and organizational data to support effective decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization. The Data Analyst works collaboratively with departments and leadership to identify trends, monitor performance, develop meaningful reports and dashboards, and translate data into actionable insights.
• The position supports a broad range of organizational functions, including operations, finance, clinical services, quality, information technology, and strategic planning. The Data Analyst will work with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop data solutions, improve reporting processes, identify opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness, and support organizational goals through the effective use of data.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, interpret, and present clinical, operational, financial, and other organizational data to support decision-making by managers, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support organizational performance, operations, finance, quality, clinical services, and strategic initiatives.
• Utilize data from multiple systems and sources to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. Experience with systems such as eCw, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Partner with departments and stakeholders to understand business and operational needs and translate those needs into meaningful data reports, analyses, and solutions.
• Support operational and financial analysis, including monitoring key performance indicators, productivity, co pay collection, resource allocation, financial performance, and other measures as requested.
• Identify trends and patterns in data and provide recommendations to management to improve organizational performance, efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
• Provide analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, planning, and other financial and operational activities as needed.
• Develop and maintain processes to validate data accuracy, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot data issues, and improve data integrity.
• Build, enhance, and automate reporting tools and processes to improve the availability, timeliness, and usability of information across the organization.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and develop forecasts to support operational, financial, clinical, quality, and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff to promote the effective use of data and strengthen data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
• Monitor and evaluate organizational performance against established goals, benchmarks, and key performance indicators.
• Assist departments in defining meaningful metrics and establishing processes for consistent data collection, reporting, and analysis.
• Maintain an understanding of organizational workflows, policies, business processes, and operational practices and how they influence data, performance, and outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through the effective use of data, reporting, automation, and technology.
• Prepare clear, concise presentations and summaries of analytical findings for management and executive leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable organizational policies, privacy requirements, and regulatory standards related to data and information.
• Support HRSA Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting, including data validation, reconciliation, and submission preparation.
• Analyze clinical quality measures, including preventive care, chronic disease management, behavioral health, and other applicable measures.
• Support HEDIS, value-based care, health equity, and population health initiatives.
• Identify trends, gaps in care, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality Improvement staff to monitor performance improvement initiatives and measure outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in IS, Computer Science, Statistics or similar preferred
• Licensure:
• • Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, or other safety-net healthcare organization.
• • Familiarity with HRSA UDS reporting and FQHC performance requirements.
• • Experience with HEDIS, UDS clinical measures, quality measures, or value-based care.
• • Experience with EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, or similar platforms.
• • Knowledge of healthcare coding and terminology, including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and encounter data.
• • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
• • Experience supporting population health or quality improvement programs.

• Commitment to providing health care to families in a medically underserved community. Willingness to be flexible in the development of new methods of health service delivery. Ability to deal with sensitive information in a highly confidential manner.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, health care professionals, funders and other regulatory agencies. Bilingual in English and another language appropriate to the health center’s patient population preferred, but not required.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, and to plan, coordinate, and carry out those tasks necessary to meet the job responsibilities. Awareness of resources available within the health center to accommodate the needs of patients.
