Lead Software Engineer (Calypso) at exadelinc in Washington, DC, USA

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, testing, and code review of System Integrator-owned integrations and custom adapters
• Ensure technical consistency and design coherence across all assigned project deliverables
• Enforce established architecture, security, integration, data, engineering, deployment, and operational-readiness standards
• Lead technical reviews and identify cross-system dependencies, delivery risks, and integration gaps
• Provide hands-on support for complex integration development and troubleshooting
• Direct Calypso Upgrade Pack standard deployments and related release activities
• Manage Calypso environments across development, testing, and production
• Support Calypso CDUF integrations, scheduled tasks, and Task Station escalations
• Oversee API-led integrations using Azure API Management
• Design and implement messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus
• Establish integration patterns for message queuing, error handling, retry processing, monitoring, and centralized logging
• Optimize database performance using advanced SQL and support database-related troubleshooting
• Manage system security, access controls, and technical permissions
• Identify and resolve infrastructure and application-performance bottlenecks
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps practices
• Create and maintain technical runbooks, operational guides, deployment plans, and support documentation
• Lead knowledge-transfer activities for client IT and production-support teams
• Coordinate technical teams and communicate complex issues clearly to project stakeholders

Requirements

• Extensive, senior-level experience in financial-systems development, product integration, and infrastructure management
• Significant hands-on experience with Calypso implementations and technical integrations
• Expert-level Java programming skills
• Advanced SQL development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting experience
• Deep knowledge of the Calypso API and Custom Development Utility Framework
• Experience managing Calypso environments across development, testing, and production
• Experience with Calypso deployments, scheduled tasks, and Task Station issue resolution
• Strong experience with Azure integration technologies, including Azure Service Bus and Azure API Management
• Experience designing API-led connectivity and asynchronous messaging solutions
• Knowledge of error-handling, retry, logging, and monitoring patterns for enterprise integrations
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and automated deployment processes
• Experience with system security, access controls, and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, coordinate engineering teams, and manage technical dependencies
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent technical communication and documentation skills
