Job description

• *This is an estimated 30-month project hire placement, with no guarantee of permanent placement.
• As a Senior Technical Project Manager (Project Hire) you will identify, plan and coordinate a set of related projects within a program and manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. You will also apply project management principles and techniques to lead project schedule, scope, quality, cost and performance risks.
• You will work closely with cross-discipline technology teams, leadership and business partners to understand technical and business direction, milestones and budget, as well as provide thought leadership to project management team.

Responsibilities

• Drives execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring project is delivered timely and on-budget.
• Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency.
• Defines, optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams. Manage hardware/software procurement of assigned projects
• Develops a program plan comprised of parallel projects and multiple project managers that collectively produce work that has significant business impact
• Monitors & adjusts program plan to respond to unplanned changes, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goals
• Creates governance practices and provides senior-level leadership oversight and control for the program
• Implements fiscal practices and controls, authorizing, recording, and reporting on program expenditures & ROI
• Develops infrastructure needed to support the program

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions
• Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product development
• Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping
• Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery
• Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
• Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall
• Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of a project
• Experience managing large project budgets
• Experience with tools such as: Microsoft suite, Keynote, Smartsheet, MyPPM (Clarity), MyJira, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and/or equivalent work experience
• .
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Experience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs
• Agile Certifications ie CSM; ACP; CPO; SAFe; LeSS

Benefits

• The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $123,100 - $165,100. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
