• Coordinate FF&E delivery for nationally significant laboratory infrastructure projects
• Lead end-to-end procurement, stakeholder engagement and project integration activities
• Contribute to the successful delivery of major capital works at the ACDP
• We are seeking a Project and FF&E Procurement Manager to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) in Geelong, a high-containment biosecurity facility.
• In this role, you will lead the coordination, procurement and delivery of Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) for significant laboratory and research infrastructure projects. This includes managing the reuse of existing assets, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring FF&E delivery is successfully integrated with construction, commissioning and operational readiness requirements.
• You'll partner with a broad range of stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, consultants, scientists and operational teams, while also providing project management support across other major capital works projects where required. Drawing on your project management, procurement and stakeholder engagement experience, you'll coordinate complex activities and deliver outcomes within established timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating FF&E procurement and delivery activities for major infrastructure projects.
• Developing procurement strategies, schedules, budgets and delivery plans aligned to project milestones.
• Managing procurement activities for both client-purchased and contractor-provided FF&E.
• Coordinating the identification, relocation and reuse of existing assets where appropriate.
• Engaging with project stakeholders to capture and deliver FF&E requirements.
• Monitoring procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning activities.
• Managing project risks, issues and dependencies associated with FF&E implementation.
• Supporting project governance, reporting, procurement recommendations and approvals processes.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, probity requirements and WHS standards.
• Providing project management support across broader capital works projects within the portfolio.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management or a related discipline such as construction management, architecture, engineering, planning or property management or equivalent significant relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating the procurement and delivery of FF&E for capital works projects involving laboratories, healthcare, biocontainment facilities and/or operational environments.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract management, procurement processes, engaging with stakeholders and integrating with capital works activities in a Commonwealth environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proven strong interpersonal abilities to successfully liaise with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
• A history of professional and respectful behaviours and attitudes in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to think laterally and strategically, anticipate and manage problems, and apply sound judgement to resolve issues with practical and positive solutions.

• Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a security clearance at the NV1 level and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements, including Security Assessment/Microbiological Security Requirements for Personnel Working on the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) Site.
• AIPM or PMI accreditation and Prince 2 or equivalent project management experience.
• Experience working with a Biosecurity facility or background / understanding of life sciences.
