- University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work on our Rehab unit as the PPS Coordinator.
- The Inpatient Rehabilitation PPS Coordinator performs professional duties supporting the accurate compiling of data and the subsequent data analysis related to the Prospective Payment System. This person is responsible for the ongoing training and education regarding the reimbursement structure and supporting documentation which assists in compliance from a regulatory perspective. This position works closely with all members of the rehabilitation team to ensure continuity of care and efficient use of resources by focusing on CMS regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs professional duties supporting the accurate compiling of data and the subsequent data analysis related to the Prospective Payment System.
- Responsible for the ongoing training and education regarding the reimbursement structure and supporting documentation which assists in compliance from a regulatory perspective.
- Works closely with all members of the rehabilitation team to ensure continuity of care and efficient use of resources by focusing on CMS regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 year of current/recent inpatient rehab nursing experience
- PPS certification (preferably obtained within 3 years of hire) or PPS boot camp completion within one year of hire.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data as it relates to patient outcomes and fiscal management.
- Experience related to management: problem solving, team leading, conflict resolution, and financial and quality improvement.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington and BLS certification
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
