Responsibilities

- Implementation of programs to meet specific patient care needs
- Focus on continuous improvement of the quality of patient care
- Planning and management of the unit’s budget
- The Nurse Manager will have direct oversight of more than 45 employees. to include those that directly support the nurse manager and lead practice:
- Three Assistant Nurse Managers
- Clinical Nurse Educator
- The Nurse Manager provides leadership to help build and sustain a foundation of quality and excellence in practice.
Requirements
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, with three (3) years of acute care clinical experience in surgical services
- Previous leadership experience (Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, or equivalent)
- Will be required to obtain and maintain ACLS certification.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
