Job description

• Primary Skills: Site Reliability Engineer (advanced), Vulnerability Management (advanced), Linux (advanced), Ansible (advanced), CI/CD (advanced)
• Contract Type: W2 Only
• Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
• Location: San Jose, CA (Remote)
• Pay Range: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
• This role focuses on ensuring the security and stability of a FedRAMP cloud platform by managing software vulnerabilities. You will be responsible for triaging, prioritizing, and remediating identified security issues across various components. The position requires developing and maintaining automated solutions to streamline the vulnerability management process and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of FedRAMP vulnerability findings.
• Prioritize and triage vulnerabilities based on impact and urgency.
• Implement and coordinate software fixes through automation tools.
• Validate remediations using build artifacts and system evidence.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and automation for the vulnerability process.

Requirements

• Practical experience with vulnerability management tools and processes.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and distributed infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience supporting cloud-based production environments, particularly in a government-regulated sector like FedRAMP, is highly preferred.
