Job description

• a.i. solutions is seeking a Satellite Communications System Engineer that will support the Mission System Support contract at the Blossom Point Satellite Command and Tracking Facility (BPTF). The program supports the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in sustaining mission-critical satellite command, control, tracking, and ground-system operations. Team members will contribute to the reliable operation, integration, maintenance, and advancement of systems essential to national security space missions. This role is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• The Satellite Communications System Engineer is part of technical team and will assist with integrating new missions into the baseline, planning system upgrades, identify requirements and deficiencies in ground station hardware and software. Assists with the analyses to evaluate needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, science discipline or related field and 5 years of experience with spacecraft ground stations systems and networks.
• Must have a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information at time of contract award
• Technical background in ground station system and subsystem design and development for spacecraft telemetry, tracking and communications.
