Responsibilities
- Performs certain laboratory procedures in phlebotomy, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and hematology under the general supervision of the laboratory director.
- Excludes procedures performed only by licensed personnel under state or national licensure regulations.
Requirements
- Prefer high school graduate or equivalent. Certification as a laboratory assistant preferred by NOT required. experience as a phlebotomist/ drawing neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics a plus. Needs to have moderate knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent verbal, written and clerical skills. Qualifications in accordance with Federal Register (CLIA 88) part 493, subpart M, Personnel Qualifications.
