Concierge Agent (Part Time) at Accor in Sonoma, CA, United States

Responsibilities

• Must be able to provide engaging service and personalized recommendations based on each guest’s individual needs
• Must be knowledgeable about all aspects of the local area and able to accurately answer questions about attractions and things to do.
• Able to answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, directions, requests and needs.
• Coordinate all guest requests for special arrangements and/or services in a courteous and efficient manner.
• One must be familiar with local business services (retail, couriers, salons, cleaners, etc.), transportation (chauffer, guide/host services, group tours, taxi’s, shuttles, car rentals, biking, cruises, ferries, etc.), local restaurants, night life, activities (theatres, galleries, gyms, tours, etc.), venues (wineries, theatres, arenas, etc.), locales (hospitals, churches, beaches, shopping stores, etc.) and special events.
• Ability to clearly log all activity bookings in a written log and digital iConcierge software.
• Maintaining a current, detailed, and organized collection of information on the area activities, events and recommended vendors and businesses.
• Informing guests of hotel services, hours of operation for the different outlets, room features and amenities.
• Maintain the Concierge area and Lobby cleanliness and order throughout shift.
• Manage and resolve any guest complaints in a professional, empathetic and courteous manner.
• Rate of Pay: $28.00 an hour

Requirements

• Detailed and intimate knowledge of Sonoma/Napa and surrounding areas a must.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-profile, high-traffic environment.
• Ability to use logic to define the problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondences, emails and memos.
• An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Property Manager and iConcierge.
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Possess strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel.
• Organized and extremely detail oriented.
• Team player, able to work independently and have great communication skills.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Wine knowledge highly preferred.
