Job description

• Cleaver-Brooks Canada Packaged Boiler Systems, a leading manufacturer of boilers and energy recovery systems, has an immediate opening for the following office position at their facility located at 161 Lorne Avenue, West, Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
• Electrical Submittals Designer
• Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000 CAD per year
• As an Electrical Submittals Designer you will prepare complete sets of electrical drawings using conventional drafting tools such as AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required.
• Prepares complete sets of electrical drawings
• Maintains proper documentation and database changes.
• Prepares final drawings and supplementary information necessary to complete assignments, select required information from precedents, manufacturers, catalogs, and technical guides.
• Mechanical knowledge required to prepare mechanical drawings including layout, multiple views,  design details and other related complementary design work to support electrical design.
• Interfaces with internal staff as well as customers, agents, or vendors regarding technical issues pertaining to parts, design, usage, specifications, etc.
• May perform design work generally limited to complex layout of equipment based on standards and established practices with assignments designed to develop increasing knowledge of product application.
• May establish or modify product documentation system to simplify and automate the process.
• All other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Education: 2-4 year Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Technical field preferred or relevant work experience.
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years preferred; proficient using computer software AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
