• The HR Coordinator provides essential support to the People & Culture team by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with onboarding, and supporting various HR programs. This role helps ensure HR operations run smoothly and consistently, contributing to a positive and professional employee experience across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality
• Prepare and process HR documents such as employment letters, changes, and terminations
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including scheduling, documentation, and systems access
• Support the delivery of new hire orientations and ensure a smooth transition into the organization
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, time off, and general HR processes
• Assist with internal HR communications, surveys, and employee engagement initiatives
• Support performance review and goal-setting processes with documentation and scheduling
• Help coordinate internal moves, leaves of absence, and policy-related updates
• Assist with data reporting, HR metrics, and project documentation as needed
• Contribute to special HR projects and process improvements across the employee lifecycle
• Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team as needed

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of discretion
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality
• Experience using HRIS platforms such as Dayforce
• Knowledge of employment standards and HR practices
• Enrollment in or completion of an HR designation (e.g., CPHR, SHRM-CP)
